A Sword of Souls

A short story set in the series “Legacy of the Knight”

Long ago, in a world where magick is a myth to some, feared by others, and manipulated by few, there existed an eternal war. The followers of a dark god ruled by fear and enslavement, their ways promoted in war, violence and conscripted sacrifices to this god. Twelve clans vied to sit upon a throne to one day conquer their world in a dystopian malaise of suffering. Twelve clan leaders clamoring to be the True King of the Si’rai, a God-Emperor, to be revered and feared throughout their world. But only one could wield the symbol of this ultimate power. A sword to unite their banners, a sword to hold high and claim themselves as a god. A Sword of Souls.
